Observation

By clicking on "Postulo" we go directly to dashboard, so an option to hide the redundant dashboard button on the navbar should exist

What exists today

Both go to the same place. The wordmark at the left of the header links to core:home (base.html, line 17) and the first item of the main navigation, Dashboard, links to core:home as well (line 24). On every page the person sees two controls for one destination.

Shape

A per-person option, off by default: Hide the Dashboard link, under Appearance on the Settings page (#22). Off by default because a first-time visitor does not know the wordmark is a link; the option is for the person who has learnt it and wants the space back.
When hidden, the wordmark takes over the job properly: it gets the active style on the dashboard (today only the nav item does, through nav_active) and an accessible name that says where it goes — "Postulo — dashboard" — so a screen reader announces a destination, not a logo.
Stored on the Profile (a boolean beside theme), read by the same context processor that resolves the theme (core/context_processors.py), so the template has one flag.
On narrow screens the main navigation is the thing that overflows first; this option helps there too, which may be the main reason to want it.

Classification

Enhancement, and a small one. Not breaking: one nullable boolean, default off, the navigation unchanged unless asked.

Open questions

Should Hide the Dashboard link be the only navigation option, or the first of a "show these items" list, so someone who never uses the Board or Insights can hide them as well? Proposal: build the list, with Dashboard as its first entry; it costs the same.
